INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT

2010

International badminton tournament SEASONS will consist of 3 rounds:
• Autumn Leaves - October 1st - 3rd, 2010
• Winter Snowflakes - January 14th - 16th, 2011
• Spring Flowers - April 22nd - 24th, 2011

Venue
All matches will be played in ORANGE VIRUS sport hall Pašiles g. 39a, Kaunas.
Entry
Age groups for the tournament are 30+, 40+, 50+. Singles, doubles and mixed doubles will
be played. Playing in a younger group with a younger partner is allowed. Entries to be
submitted through e-mail spelveris@badminton.lt.
Entry fee
15 EUR per singles event, 10 EUR per person per doubles event. Entry fee includes
Yonex AS-50 shuttlecocks. Every participant will receive a clay medal.
Closing dates
• Autumn Leaves - September 20th, 2010
• Winter Snowflakes - January 5th, 2011
• Spring Flowers - April 11th, 2011
System
Up to two losses, depending on the number of participants.
Shuttlecocks
Players shall play with Yonex AS-50 shuttlecocks provided by organizers.
Courts
4 TARAFLEX courts and 3 wooden floor courts.
Tournament Scoring System
Tournament winner will be determined by summing up points collected by every participant
in each round in every category in particular age group:
• 1st place – 8 points,
• 2nd place – 5 points,
• 3rd - 4th places – 3 points,
• 5th - 8th places – 1 point.
Participation in every category or in every round is not mandatory.
Awards
Total prize money is 3000 LTL. Winners of every round will receive material prizes.
Winners of whole tournament (6 persons - 2 for every age group) will receive 500 LTL
prize each.

• 9 a.m. - 10 p.m. Matches
• 11 p.m. Party at Hotel Best Western Santaka
30 EUR per person (food / drinks, including alcohol / live music)
Sunday (October 3rd 2010, January 16th 2011, April 24th 2011)
• 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Matches
Accommodation
The official hotel for the tournament is Best Western “Santakos viešbutis”. This 4 star
hotel, located in the old town, offers a very special price for tournament players and guests
– only 140 litas per single or double room (normal price – 480 litas) including breakfast,
access to sauna, jacuzzi and pool, parking.

Other regulations
Every participant or delegating organization bear full responsability for health status of the
participant. Non-marking indoor shoes shall be used.
Expenses
All expenses related to transportation to and from the venue, accommodation and sports
equipment shall be covered by delegating organization or players themselves.
